hi mom!!
my letter is gonna be completely scarttered around and random cause im just coppying from my notes, im short on time today but i wanted you to hear all i had to say. so bear with me. yes, I take notes everywhere I go!
great news! my mission pres will let me listen to country music when im there!!! yay!!! cool huh! im excited. only 2 1/2 weeks left! i NEED to get to texas soon.
food wise...lets just say the Lord has softened my heart as well as my stomache. HOWEVER there is this cookie thing that hermana allen and i LOVE and we share one everytime they have them out. soooo yummy. THAT is one thing i will miss about the mtc. not kidding.
in every dear elder, please update me about casey. i miss having him here so much but can't wait to get his updates and hear how he is doing.
oooohhhhh kay, get this. remember when i went to efy in uh 2005, the provo utah one? well im sitting at breakfast and this HANDSOME man comes up and says he knows me. long story short....he was my COW at efy that year!!! ahahhahahaha smaaaalllllll world huh!!!!!!! oh boy. it was so good to see him here. He exachanged his address and we're writing now. no big deal, we're writing as friends of course, but it was so funny. he was so shocked to see me here!
theres a saying i learned in spanish. i say it to myself every day. its "estoy tan feliz como un lombriz" . it literally translates to im as happy as a worm. apparently its said a lot in spanish culutures, so....im using it. really, i am as happy as a worm here :)
i write casey and pray for him everyday. i also have hermana allen and hermana gonzalez praying for him too. someone once told me that missionary prayers are in the fast track lane. it seems that the Lord hears those first. i love that kid. his mtc companion was so cute and adorable.
like i said before, Elder Holland came and he was amazing. i kept some great quotes from him, a couple of my favorites are:
"do not ever go back to what you were. you go home and you be different. more loving, more mature, more compassionate. do not go home as unchanged."
"do not be changed temporarily for just 18 months to 2 years. be changed permanently!"
"we expect at least ONE convert from every missionary, and that one convert is YOU."
i'm excited to see david christenson next week and i'll try to get a picture with him for his mom.
ok thats all the time i have left, i gotta go write casey now. i love you!!! thanks for everything! and i'll go pick up my package :) I love you!! keep sending my dear elders!!!
