we had our first investigators to come to church yesterday!! they said it was the first time they've had an investigator come to church in almost 8 months!!! gotta tell you, pretty amazing feeling!! but ok, heres whats happened this week. nothing really too crazy or fun to talk about. buuuttt i have messed up on my spanish haha i went to say that i bring support into our companionship, but instead i said i bring a chicken into our companionship. everyone was lauugghiinngggg so hard!! whoops.
oh...funny thing. soooo we kinda had our phone stolen. so, we've gone 4 days without a phone. and let me tell you...that is SO hard to do. go without a phone on your mission. why? because you call your district leaders every night, you call your investigators, you call your dinner appoitments and all sorts of stuff. so we walk around out apt complex and ask to borrow someones phone. people think we're insane haha my area is SO ghetto that we had to come home early every night since we didnt have a phone. its baaaad hahah but, we will get a phone tomorrow.
oh, theres this lady in the ward and EVERYTIME she saw me, she would come up to me and squeeze my cheecks and say "Hola Bonita" which means, hola beautiful. every time. well, then sister allred and i got lost on our way to the dinner with her, and we ended up being an hour late to dinner (remember we had no cell phone to call). she no longer says "hola bonita" she just smiles and will walk away now. whooooops. someone got a little bitter about that. oh, and have i told you? theres a part of my area that is SO ghetto...that when someone calls 911, the cops dont even respond there anymore! hahahaha isnt that so funny?? dont worry tho...the Lord looks out for me and sister allred. we stay away from that area obviously hahaha but i just thought that was so funny!!
oh and also, we had a dinner that was left overs from a baby shower the day before. it was this gross meat in chili sauce and more of those noodles and mayo and then some rice. but guess what..it had been sitting out for over 24 hours. oh mom, it was so gross. good thing i have a rock solid stomache. sister allred got sick tho bummer, but so glad i did not!
