MOM!
pres and sis sagers are awesome! ive only seen them once cause im 2 1/2 hours away from them, thats how far waco is down south in our mission. but interviews are next week so i'll meet with him again then. but so far, they're way cool. i def like them!
before i start, let me tell you...we have a tiny problem with guys listening to us and talking to us for the right reasons. i cant even tell you how many times guys ask if im dating someone or something. anyways, dont worry...im fine. the Lord looks out for me and we're safe and smart. but ok, anyways. so we meet with one guy, we start talking to him on the street. we give him a book of mormon, well in spanish its called el libro de mormon, so we give him that and we always put our number on the first page so they can call us to reschedule or if they need anything or whatever. right? ok so get this. so later that night, about 10....he calls us. BUT!!! he'ssoooooooooooo drunk!!!!! i thought it was absolutely hilarious!!!!!!poor sister allred, she freaked. she got all nervous and scared and stuff. i totally had to talk her off the ledge. i thought it was so awesome. but she has never recieved a drunk call before. i had to explain that i use to get those all the time when I was an emt, that they're just acting dumb and in the morning they wont even remember calling us. she felt better after she prayed. but anyways, it was soooooo funny!!! sure enough, he totally forgot about calling us and we havent heard from him again. we obviously never called back or went back to visit but i just thought it was so funny!!!
a few days later we meet this guy and he opens the door. VERY nice man, totally had a great time small talking with him, he was english speaking so i knew everything that was going on, and he later explains "oh ya, ive heard of you mormon folk. you believe that God and his wife live on some planet and that you all get 40+ wives after death and oh...ive heard it all" before saying anything...i just thought a min. i was speechless (i know, shocking) i look to sister allred, and the words that came out of my mouth were exactly this "UH OH". i was so shocked thats what i said but i literally was at a loss for words hah she looks at him and said "i think you know more than you need to know" . it was so funny. he was one of the nicest men ive met here in texas, but his view on the church is a little off. so we gave him a pass along card and left.

this past week we've gotten doors slammed in our face so much!!! i finally got sick and tired of it. so, this is what happened with the last door thats gotten slammed on us. we knock on this mans house. he opens up, and we do the whole "we're missionaries from the church of...." and BOOM! door slammed. i looked at hermana allred and she turns around and starts waking away. i was so fed up....this is what i did. i stood there, i pondered for a moment and then....i knocked on that door again. sister allred, who was half way down the drive way now turns around and says "SISTER! what are you doing?" i turned around and said..."shhhh". he opens the door again (why? i dont know...but he did) and i said "esta bien. porque Dios le ama" then turned around and walked away. what i said was "its ok, because God loves you". why? idk. but maybe that dude needed to hear that. there was no miraculous story that came out of it like that he let us in and he got baptized, but sure enough. i told him exactly what was on my mind. hermana allerd thinks im insane hahaha, and she says im her boldest companion yet. (shes had 4 others). i literally will stop people in their cars are they're driving down the road. and i give them a passalong card or a pamphlet. i dont care...they're not gonna hit me, and they need the gospel and that is what i am here to do, so its a win win. hahahaha im a bold little missionary mamma!!
