A baptism soon AND a marriage!!

ok. let me tell you an AMAZING spiritual experience i had this week. mom, it literally made my entire mission worth it. all the small times i'd get home sick or get bummed about missing my roxiie or what not (and yes, you too) but anyways, those all became MEANINGLESS after yesterday in sacrament. we have these investigators, their names are Valentina and Hector. mom, they are INCREDIBLE people!! they are an amazing example for me. Valentina is a super golden investigator and Hector is following shortly behind her. She came to church for the first time (and it was fast sunday) she got up!!! bore her testimony!!! and said that she knows the church is true. she knows the book of mormon is true. she loves the way her apartment feels when "las hermanas" are there. she recognizes the spirit in her life and when we are in her home, she says its an amazing feeling that she never wants to leave. she is AMAZING mom!! and then she introduced herself in relief society and said "my name is valentina im from mexico and im going to get baptized soon" and then sat down hahahah how awesome is that?? oh she just brings so much joy to my soul mom. sitting there in the pew watching my investigator get up and bare her testimony about how the church is true (first time at church!! and hasnt even been taught all the lessons yet!!!) is an indescribable feeling mom. it made every single moment out here in the mission field worth it!!! 

next, we went and taught them the word of wisdom and law of chastity, we had to explain that they one, couldnt get baptized unless they're married and two, no sexual relations before marriage. She then, started crying. i asked what was wrong and she said "all i want is to be baptized" and then we told her that she COULD, she just had to be married first. and then, hector proposed right there!!!    yes he did!!!!   he told her "i want to marry you valentina. will you marry me?" mom. it was ADORABLE!!! and she said yes. SOOOOOOOO we are going to have a baptism soon AND a marriage!!! the bishop is gonna do it and the relief society is planning the reception!! how cute is that huh?? ya...its awesome!!! thats my awesome spiritual moment of the week. they're so awesome!! 


guess what? more miracles!! i had the gift of tongues. i am not kidding. hermana allred had to go up to hurt, 2 hours away for a zmc. a big meeting with all sorts of zone leaders and stuff. so they left me in waco with another sister. yes, sister. NOT hermana. she is an english speaking missionary! they left ME in WACO...the SPANISH area alone with an ENGLISH speaking sister. oiy...i was NERVOUS. but i kid you not. every SINGLE lesson i had that day, i communicated with our investigators!! almost perfectly! they understood EVERYTHING i said and i understood almost EVERYTHING of what they said!! cool huh? ya..the Lord is amazing. my spanish is getting a lot better. 


oh, and cinco de mayo. oh boy. thats like christmas for mexicans. it was crazy!! music and parties and all of that ha it was interesting. so funny. but interesting at the same time. mexicans take major pride in cinco de mayo. oh and i ate some meat from an investigator the other night, and my body had a fiesta with that. boy that did NOT agree with me. i bet she left it out all day. hispanics here tend to NOT use their refridgerator. why? i have no clue. but ya...my poor stomach was super not happy with me that day hahah but, all is good now. 


aunt michele sent me pictures! that was nice! i love pictures :) im gonna go attach some pictures i took in just a min. the lightening storms one, some of them look like its day time...but really thats at 10:30 at NIGHT and i just happened to take the picture when the ligthening struck! oh so beautiful!! theres suppose to be more again tonight!! yipeeeeeeeeee! oh, and im driver now!!! yay!!! so i drive the car. we dont switch off, thats not allowed. theres one designated driver a transfer, and i am now! woohooo!! some people dont get driving privileges til months into they're mission. but i got them my second transfer! yay! 


i cant wait to talk to you on sunday, i love you so much!!
