ok so i have an AMAZING story to tell you. you're gonna flip, but i love it! and the Lord truly does watch out for his little missionaries. but ok, so you remember how casey was always teasing me about the gun rule in texas and being on their property....? YUP! that kid wasnt kidding hahahahahahhahahahahah this is awesome. ok, check it. so, we went to someone's house for an appointment and they weren't there. so we went and tracted into they're neighbors....thinking it would aaallll be fine and dandy. so, as we're walking up this lady has her door open, and a screen door. so i see her, and i see her JUMP out of her chair, as we get closer i hear her yell "HONEY! go get the 38!!!". i thought to myself "hmm, what the heck is a 38?" weeeeelllll let me tell you. she was talking about her gun!! so we get to the door and i start to say "hi, we're missionaries from the...." and she oh so rudely interrupts me and screams...at the top of her lungs...."YOU ARE NOT WANTED HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! my husband just went to get my gun and if you are still here in the next...." and then i hear the husband running down the hall way and says "i got it!!!!". i turn to hermana allred and shout "RUN!!!!" so we booked it out of there reeeaaalllll quick. you know i dont run, but mom....i ran my little heart out of that doorway. poor hermana allred...so scared and so confused. we got down the street a little later and then realized we should move our car so its not in front of her house. as we're walking about we see her standing in her doorway with something in her hands. we got in the car and we got outta that area real quick. it was funny! i was laughing so hard but hermana allred was crying and i had to talk her off the ledge. so i can't wait to tell casey this story. he's gonna love it haha but i thought it was funny. anyways, dont worry...the Lord looks out for us. Now, aren't you nice and relaxed after i told you that? :)
we have the wedding on June 1st and the Baptism is on he 2nd!! how cute huh? so valentina went to mexico this past week to renew her visa and she went to church and took her whole family, guess what! they all loved it!! they all want to move over here and get baptized!! isnt that neat!? my first baptism, its a wedding and a baptism!! the wedding is gonna be super cute! our relief society pres is super arts crafty and is totally in love with valentina and hector, so its gonna be so cool!! i'll take lots of pictures for sure!! the elders arent gonna baptize her cause me and sister allred are the only spanish speakers here, so a member of the ward is gonna do it. and for the baptism interview, we have our district leader coming up, he's about 50 miles away from us and we have a translator who will be there during it. so thats how thats gonna work out. i seriously love this family. hector is SO ADORABLE. i seriously adore them mom. he says when i get home, they are gonna take a road trip and come visit me and my family. he wants to meet you all. he calls me his little "ray of sunshine". isnt that adorable? he has a rough time saying poweLL cause of the double ll. cause in spanish that makes a "y" sound so they have a toughy with that. but he is soooo adorable!
casey is doing good. i hear from him :) i love him so much mom!! and you too of course, but i am so glad that i have him as my brother. he has matured so much!! a picture of me and him in the mtc is my bookmark for my spanish scriptures and when people see him, they all go nuts. they think he's just the cutest thing. then that leads them to ask if he's on a mission and then they all say how amazing you sound. and i brag about you all the time!! :)
i love you!!! i hope you're having a great time on your cruise right now!!!! make sure to have fun for me and be safe! i love you SOOOOOOOOOOOO much!!!!!!!!
