I always like to sing before I pray!!

Hi Mom!!
we've had dang hot weather (110-112) and crazy thunder/lightening rain storms. but no earthquakes or tornados.  we have a baptism coming up this saturday, his name is David and he's 11. he's a super cool little kid. i am so excited!!  this last week, we had a lesson with this lady names Paula and as soon as we went to say the prayer...she BUSTED out and starting singing a song. then after she sang like all 4 verses, she then says "ok, we can pray. i always like to sing before i pray" haha it was so funny. the whole time durring the prayer i just smiled cause it was so funny. It was some spanish hymn from a different church that i didnt know, neither did Hermana Shelton.

 Oh...great news, i dont need surgery! (he's pretty sure) he put me in a brace  that i have to wear for 6 weeks and i go back in a week and a half to just check up on it and see how its doing. he says that the brace should do the trick but in a week and a half he's gonna see how its doing, but he says i most likely am not gonna need surgery. good news huh! let me tell you...this little splint thing is super annoying and i cant take it off. i am allowed to get it wet, but it stays on there for 6 weeks. major bummer. but thats a lot better than surgery!

Denton is such a nice area! If it wasnt texas (cause i never wanna live in texas cause of the weather) but its such a nice area i would totally move here. Waco is SOOOO GHETTO and scary and Denton is a complete 180 from waco. Nice area. and so much safer too! Oh! my companion, she is just adorable.  i adore my new comp by the way! i love her! im so bummed i only get her for 6 weeks. But we get along swimmingly!! haha speaking of swimming, we dont get to watch the olympics, but sometimes people have it on when we come in to teach em so they give us a little play by play as to whats goin on haha is there any other news that i should know about? im in a little bubble out here. OH!! and that colorado movie theater thing...he's crazy!!! thats sooooo sad! we heard all about that. everyone here has their flags at half mass for it. Thats so sad but im glad they caught him.
